1845 – It all began with a young plumber in Cologne. Gottfried Remagen started installing gas pipes for public street lighting in 1842. Shortly later he founded his own business and began to supply gas pressure vessels in the cellars of private houses with gas light. Minimalism and Beauty

In 2010, Yoshiko Yoshimura founded LIM LIGHTING DESIGN in Hiroshima/Japan to design architectural, residential and landscape lighting. Japanese tradition and culture play a key role in the designs. The abbreviation LIM in the name means Less Is More and goes back to the Japanese Sukiya style, which is based on the simple and functional beauty of a Japanese house where tea ceremonies can be celebrated. In close cooperation with the architects, engineers and contractors, the office supervises a project in all phases, from master planning to site management, including the coordination of interdisciplinary projects. → Read more
