Creative lighting to reimagine cities
LUCI in collaboration with the City of Lyon will organize the Lyon Light Festival Forum. – Created in 2002, LUCI is a non-profit organization bringing together over 70-member towns and cities worldwide that use light as a tool for social, cultural and economic development.
The Lyon Light Festival Forum offers lighting professionals from around the world a space to explore new forms of creative lighting in the urban space. This year, the event is 100% online and will include panels on ‘Reimagining cities with light’ and ‘The transformation of light festivals’, as well as creative pecha kuchas and one-on-one networking opportunities.
One focus is on how cities around the world can use creative lighting to strengthen their city’s brand. How can they ensure that they remain unique and interesting? How can they reimagine their nightscapes using these creative lighting technologies?
Another subject is the transformation of light festivals to adapt to the new normal. How have light festivals have transformed in the face of Covid? And how are they thinking of evolving to keep up with the many changes in the world?
