A monumental experience beneath the Dôme des Invalides
Moment Factory developed a fully immersive light environment for the Dôme des Invalides – one of the most important sites of French cultural heritage – on a projection surface of 3,500 square metres, while preserving the architectural and historical integrity of the site.

The cultural operator Cultival initiated the project and reached out to Moment Factory; the creator of AURA at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, to design a new monumental experience beneath the iconic dome at Les Invalides in Paris. The project was developed as part of a partnership with the Musée de l’Armée, the French national military museum.

AURA Invalides offers visitors an intense connection with the monument and a moment of collective wonder.
At nightfall, the Dôme des Invalides comes to life through the magic of light, original orchestral music and video mapping. Over a period of 50 minutes, visitors explore the monument and its six chapels to the rhythm of three movements that recall its construction long ago, its living memory and its inspiring power.
