Who has the power over light? The political dimension of light
The exhibition asks the a bit unwieldy question: Can light be divided or shared? The exhibition project lights up the relation between light art and participation. Are participatory models possible in the art?
In 2016, Mischa Kuball has been honoured with the German Light Art Award for his outstanding ventures with light as a medium of public interaction. Now the professor at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne develops new ideas together with his students and offers a spectrum of current light art. Based on philosophical questions, the experimental art projects discuss critical and social subjects as well as the discourse on participation.
The PLUX LABORATORY in the attic offers an entertaining deepening to the exhibition visit. Own explorations are welcome or participate in a workshop.
