The 8th LIT Lighting Design Awards announced the winners, showcasing designs that redefine new trends and offer a fascinating glimpse into the future of lighting innovation.
The winners showcase the excellence of international lighting designers, artists and implementers. There were over 800 entries from 58 countries for the 8th edition of the LIT Lighting Design Awards. A jury of 35 professionals— architects, interior designers, scientists, and media representatives — evaluated the entries, recognizing outstanding contributions to the lighting industry. Their selections highlighted works that demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and skill, celebrating the talent and vision shaping the future of lighting design and inspiring new perspectives in the field.

Allen Lee Hughes
Allen Lee Hughes is a ground breaking lighting designer with a career spanning over 50 years in theatre, opera, and dance.
Allen Lee Hughes is a four-time Tony-nominated lighting designer with a lifetime achievement award and mentorship program in his name.
The LIT Lighting Design Awards recognizes 2024 in Spotlight Prize the “Brighten the Future of Gaza’s Children” project.
This initiative is committed to making a meaningful impact and bringing light to a cause that will truly brighten lives. Children in Gaza face immense challenges in continuing their education and engaging in play due to ongoing conflict and humanitarian crises.
In collaboration with Rebuilding Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equal rights for Palestinian people and rebuilding war-torn neighbourhoods, the LIT Lighting Design Awards is funding the purchase of 1500 solar lights for children in Gaza.
In partnership with Little Sun, a German company founded by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen and MPOWERERD, which created Luci, the first inflatable solar light with the goal of making an affordable clean energy product that people could use in any situation; Rebuilding Alliance is delivering solar lights to those in need, ensuring that the children of Gaza have access to safe, sustainable, and eco-friendly lighting.
